Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to members as follows…
They may be used for any PPA or affiliate sponsored
convention or school. With prior Board approval, they may be
used for any other educational purpose deemed appropriate to
help that member advance in their photographic career.
The Board shall establish the value of all scholarships and
is the final arbiter of how they may be used. The Chairman
of the Board will be the officer directing the scholarship
program. The BOD needs to make a decision as to how the
money is transferred. Either a flat amount needs to be
determined or a cap place on it to cover the price of the
course up to a certain point.
Room and board reimbursements are
not part of the scholarship program!
Recipient must use their scholarship with one year of its
being awarded. They also are required to write an article
within 30 days for the Viewfinder with a minimum of 500
words sharing their experience and new knowledge with fellow
members. Failure to do so will require action by the BOD.
Please
note: If you are a Scholarship winner for 2007 you will be
reimbursed for up to $500.00 of your experiences after you
submit your scholarship experiences article and your
receipts for taking the class.
